Meet Brad Kruger
Educator, Changemaker, and Advocate for Kindness
For over 13 years, Brad Kruger has dedicated himself to education, transforming and shaping futures.
Starting out as part of a school’s management team, Brad has played a key role in its growth. What began as a small preschool and aftercare program has blossomed into a thriving educational institution, serving children from as young as three months to matriculation.
Today, the school proudly offers a full preschool, Grade R facility, primary school, and high school.
In 2021, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brad took his passion for helping others to new heights by founding the non-profit "Cultivate Kindness." This initiative began to teach people without access to food how to grow their own. Since then, it has expanded into a community-driven movement, helping schools develop their own gardens, planting food trees, and supporting underserved communities with sustainable solutions.
Brad's journey is grounded in his academic achievements and practical skills. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Unisa, along with qualifications as an adult basic education and training (ABET) educator. His hands-on experience in farming and horticulture further supports his mission to empower the underprivileged.
What truly makes Brad stand out, however, is his zest for life. He’s the guy who lights up a room with his humour and spreads positivity wherever he goes. Inspired daily by his father’s generosity and his wife’s tireless efforts to support children, Brad strives to carry forward their legacy of kindness and compassion.
Beyond his work, Brad’s passions are as diverse as they are meaningful. He has a love for fashion, a deep appreciation for nature, and a talent for photography. Whether it’s teaching others to grow vegetables, raising orphaned animals on his farm, or cheering on young people in positive projects, Brad pours his heart into everything he does.
When he reflects on his career, Brad’s proudest moments are seeing his students grow into confident, compassionate adults ready to make a difference in the world. On a more personal note, he cherishes memories of his wedding day, the birth of his children, and believe it or not: winning "Mr. Photogenic" in a school competition back in 2008.
In his downtime, Brad enjoys relaxing with Marvel movies and spending time with his family and faith. As he likes to remind those chasing their dreams: “Go for it and give it your best shot. We all have the potential to fulfil our purpose—don’t hold yourself back!”
