Manny De Freitas

Manny De Freitas is an inspiring individual entering the talent world with a zest for exploration and a wealth of life experience. Formerly a dedicated public servant, he began his political journey in 1995 as Johannesburg’s youngest city councillor. Over the years, Manny held significant positions, including roles in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and Parliament, where he served in shadow ministerial capacities for Transport, Home Affairs, and Tourism. Beyond his political achievements, Manny exposed corruption and contributed valuable testimony to the Zondo Commission, leaving an impactful legacy.

Academically, Manny holds a Master’s in Governance and Political Leadership from the University of the Witwatersrand and is currently pursuing an MBA. With a passion for sustainable tourism, he earned a diploma in the field from the University of Copenhagen and became a certified tour guide.

A man of many talents, Manny is an engaging speaker skilled in addressing audiences of all sizes. He has previously done voice-over work and has experience as an MC. Now, he aims to challenge perceptions about modeling and acting, proving that age is no barrier to creativity and success.

His life took a transformative turn 17 years ago after a serious car accident that left him with a titanium leg. The incident ignited a profound appreciation for life and resilience, driving Manny to live fully and authentically.

An advocate for health and wellness, Manny hits the gym six days a week and enjoys tackling physical challenges like the renowned Otter Trail. His leadership programs, dedication to fitness, and involvement with the International Fitness and Body Building Federation South Africa reflect his passion for empowering others.

In his spare time, Manny is an avid reader with a love for history and travel. He seeks to make waves in the talent industry, proving that it’s never too late to chase your dreams and leave a meaningful mark.
