Georgina Kandjeke, fondly known as FoxyGinnah, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of fashion. Born and raised in Rundu, Namibia, Georgina's early life was shaped by her mother's love for fashion and her grandfather's impeccable style. Growing up, she would often browse fashion catalogues with her mom, developing an eye for design and a passion for creating.
As Miss Namibia 2011 runner-up and an international model, Georgina's experience on the runway gave her a newfound appreciation for the craftsmanship of quality garments. This sparked a desire to transition from model to designer, and she took the leap, quitting her HR job to pursue her passion for fashion.
Self-taught and driven, Georgina launched her brand, Foxxy by FoxyGinnah, creating statement pieces that exude confidence and positivity. Her designs reflect her mood and emotions, and she's known for her unique approach to pattern-making and stitching.
With a recent relocation to South Africa, Georgina is expanding her brand into the broader African market. She models her own collections, believing that wearing her creations inspires trust and authenticity. Her advice to young Namibian designers? "Keep practicing, never stop, and learn from online courses. Formal training isn't the only way to succeed."
As a "beauty creator," mother, and business owner, Georgina balances her roles with ease, prioritizing her work and family. Her goal? To be a household name across Africa, with a strong online presence and collaborations with fellow African fashion creators.
Ten years from now, Georgina hopes people will remember Foxxy by FoxyGinnah pieces for their craftsmanship, uniqueness, and the pride they evoke in Namibian fashion. With her determination and passion, it's only a matter of time before she reigns supreme in the fashion world
